About
Johanna is a New Zealand–German artist based in Berlin, working at the intersection of sound, image and space. Her practice spans music composition, DJing, photography and set design — unfolding as one body of work, shaped by a distinct aesthetic sensibility.

Her photographic work focuses on exhibition documentation, artist portraits and editorials across art, culture and fashion. In the field of set design she contributes to the realisation of botanical installations for exhibitions and cultural formats. Under the alias Blu Aloé, she explores contemporary vocal performance, violin and modular synthesis. Her work moves between drone, noise and spoken word, while her DJ sets draw from industrial techno and experimental electronica.
